I've been busy with non-Bottomtalk things for a while, but Epiphora hasn't been neglecting her blog. Indeed, she's celebrating it's second anniversary in style - with a contest.
You can trot on over to http://www.heyepiphora.com to figure out how to enter. Naturally I'm shooting for the Maverick (which has been on my wanna-try-and-review list ever since I heard of it), so it would be very helpful if you went for some of her other great prizes, such as a Wahl, Jollies Jollet, Fleshlight, SETI toyfriend, Fairy Mini Wand, $100 gift card or a porn flick. Sadly many of you are probably equally interested in the Maverick, but I can hope, right?

A lot of people are entering for the Maverick, you're right! I thought people were more scared of realistic dildos, but apparently not!
I think that there are many people who start out with an aversion to realistic dildos, but on a number of them it goes away as you get used to playing with toys and (especially for the men) realize that it is just a toy.
I must admit that I still would probably choose a non-realistic over a realistic assuming all other things equal (stimulation, size, etc.), but I have realized that there are some features of a "realistic" dildo that do add to the stimulation - the head is definitely one of them.
Unfortunately it seems that the market for good, large, "real-feel" dildos in nonrealistic designs is ... limited at best. I suppose it's because many people who would otherwise be interested are turned off by "real-feel" and/or prefer a smaller toy (the Raquel seems to be doing just fine).
Pity about so many entries dragging down my chances. I'm about ready to throw a imitation 3-year-old tantrum over one of these babies - if only I knew who to throw it too.
If you don't win Scott, shevibe.com has a pretty good price for the maverick. I bought one a couple of weeks ago, it's pretty amazing. Now I want the outlaw!
